Siemens SIMOTICS low-voltage motors (GP, SD, XP, DP, TN, FD, HT) and servo motors; IEC/NEMA, line-fed or converter-fed operation.
SIMOTICS is the Siemens family of electric motors. Its low-voltage series offer high-efficiency motors to IEC and NEMA standards, covering outputs from 0.09 kW to over 5 MW. The motors can run direct on line or at variable speed together with SINAMICS frequency converters.
The series are split by application: GP general purpose, SD severe duty, XP explosion-proof, DP definite purpose, TN high-output transnorm, FD converter-fed flexible duty, and HT for gearless high-torque drives. On the motion control side there are SIMOTICS S servo motors and servo geared motors.
Siemens turned its motors and large drives business into a separate company named Innomotics in 2023 and sold it to KPS Capital Partners in October 2024. The GP, SD, XP, DP, TN, FD and HT series are therefore now supplied under the Innomotics brand.
