The SIMOTICS XP series consists of low-voltage motors designed for hazardous areas with explosive gas or dust atmospheres. Suitable versions are available for every zone, from gas atmospheres in chemical and petrochemical plants to dust atmospheres in mining or food processing.
The motors cover 0.09 kW to 460 kW with types of protection Ex db (flameproof), Ex eb (increased safety), Ex ec, Ex tb and Ex tc for Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22, in aluminium or cast iron housings. Besides versions for line and converter operation, there is the XP CHEMSTAR version for the chemical and oil and gas industries. The series is now supplied as Innomotics XP.
