The SIMOTICS TN series consists of high-output, cast iron low-voltage motors for power requirements beyond the upper limit of standard IEC motors. Shaft heights start at 315 and outputs reach 5,000 kW; the motors can run direct on line or on a frequency converter.
In transnorm (non-standard) motors the assignment of output to frame size and shaft extension is not fixed by standards, which allows more flexible selection for large pumps, fans, compressors and process drives. The series is now supplied as Innomotics TN.
