Omega standard motors are squirrel-cage three-phase induction motors built in efficiency classes IE3 and IE4 according to IEC 60034-30-1. They run direct-on-line without the need for a drive and deliver stable, highly efficient operation.
The power-to-frame relationship follows the standard, so no rating moves up to a larger frame. Installed IE1 and IE2 motors can therefore be swapped for more efficient Omega motors without changing mounting dimensions or adding cost.
The range comprises small and medium series with die-cast aluminium housings and a cast iron series for heavy-duty applications. The motors run with low noise and vibration and are supplied in RAL 1019.
