GAMAK ATEX 22 motors are designed for Zone 22 areas, where combustible or conductive dust may be present in the air only briefly and at low concentration. A sealed housing and protected terminal box keep dust out of the motor, and the outer surface temperature is kept below a limit that cannot ignite deposited dust.
The series covers 0.55–500 kW with aluminium frames 71–250 and cast iron frames 280–355, in efficiency classes IE2 and IE3. It serves industries with dust explosion risk, such as flour, grain, wood, plastics and textiles, from small mixers to large process machines.
