Emtaş tower crane motors comprise dedicated motors for the three main crane motions: a hoist motor up to 55 kW in IEC frames 160 – 200, a slewing motor with up to 140 Nm in IEC frames 112 – 180, and a travel motor up to 7.5 kW in IEC frames 112 – 132.
All motors are 4-pole, 50 Hz, rated up to 1000 V, designed for S3 intermittent duty and flange-mounted (B5). The hoist and slewing motors use IC 416 forced cooling; the slewing motor has an eddy-current brake for soft stopping, the hoist and travel motors have brakes up to 220 V, and the travel motor carries a 1024-pulse encoder.
