The BEX series are enclosed spring-applied safety brakes designed for IEC standard motor frames. They mount easily in front of 63 – 250 frame motors with a B14 or B5 flange, and the totally enclosed design protects against external influences.
Supplied with standard 24 V DC or 205 V DC coils, they offer manual control during power failures and fault and lining wear warnings via a micro or proximity switch. The manufacturer describes the series as suitable for explosion-proof applications; certification status should be confirmed for each project.
