The DHF series are Dereli's compact spring-applied brakes. When the coil is energised, the pressure plate is pulled against the springs and the cast-iron fan keyed to the rotor shaft turns freely; when power is removed, the springs press the lining onto the fan and the brake is applied.
The cast-iron fan makes the design self-cooling and gives a softer stop than other brake types. Available in 8 sizes (63 – 160), from 2.5 to 30 Nm and with 24, 98 and 190 V standard voltages, it is widely used in the furniture industry and in horizontal-motion applications.
