Hydro-Mec shaft-mounted (Compact) gearboxes are parallel shaft helical units with a hollow shaft option. Their high power density and high permissible radial loads make them a common choice in conveying and process technology.
The range comprises compact FS10/FS20 types, FA types with aluminium housings and, for larger sizes, FC types in cast iron. A large centre distance on the slow stages ensures safe torque transmission, and hardened and ground gears and a removable inspection cover are standard.
