Miksan explosion-proof electric motors are induction motors certified under ATEX (2014/34/EU) for safe operation in explosive gas and dust atmospheres. They are built in frame sizes 56 to 132 with outputs from 0.09 kW to 11 kW at 50 Hz and 2, 4 or 6 poles.
The EX series combines flameproof and increased safety protection (Ex db eb) for gas group IIC and dust group IIIC, while the FX series pairs Ex db mb protection with IP65/67. Both series can be used in Zones 1 and 2 for gas and Zones 21 and 22 for dust. The TX series uses Ex tc protection for Zone 22 dust areas. For single-phase supplies there are Mono explosion-proof motors in frames 56 to 71.
